November 7, 2009 vs. Florham Park
The Verona Eagles C JV Maroon team finished their 9-0 season with a 32-14 win over the Florham Park Falcons on Saturday, November 7 at Florham Park. Matthew Aldiero had a 2 yard run for a touchdown with Nicholas Riggio scoring the extra point. Nicholas Riggio scored three rushing touchdowns, two for 70 yards each and one for 55 yards. Maguire Pecci recovered a Falcon fumble on the last play of the game and ran it in for 20 yard touchdown. Saturday, October 31, 2009 vs. Garfield
The C JV Maroon had a 14-0 Halloween victory over the Garfield Jr. Boilermakers on Saturday at Centennial Field.
The 8-0 Eagles are anchored by the many talents of Angelo Benfante, Michael Garcia, Joseph Trapani, Jonathan Cole, Matthew Monroe, Matthew Dolloway, Connor Seawright, Matt Feiger and Jack Gautieri.
The defense notched its fourth straight shut-out. The defense saw turnovers recovered by Maguire Pecci, John Gabriel and Gavin Freeman. In on many tackles were Peter Farley, Richard Symczak, Michael Carsillo, Michael Costa, Aidan FitzSimons and Cade Byrne.
The Eagles offense had Nicholas Riggio score two rushing touchdowns and Lucas Jacobsen completed a pass to Anthony Zamloot for a two-point conversion. The offense had impressive rushes by Matthew Aldiero and Steven Creech in the 14-0 victory.
Saturday, October 24, 2009 vs. West Essex Cowboys
The C JV Maroon defense had it's 3 straight shut out as the offense scored 2 touchdowns for a 13-0 victory over the West Essex Cowboys. Nicholas Riggio had a 13 yard rushing touchdown in the first half. The second half saw two fumble recoveries by John Gabriel, one resulting in an offensive drive that ended in a a 3 yard rushing touchdown by QB Lucas Jacobsen. Nicholas Riggio scored the extra point to make the score 13-0.

Saturday, October 17th vs. Caldwell.
The C JV Maroon team is now 6-0. A 19-0 victory over the Caldwell Jr. Chiefs was the Maroon defense's 4th shut out of the season. The defense had numerous tackles behind the line of scrimmage by Jack Gautieri, Richard Symczak, Anthony Zamloot, Matt Feiger and Maguire Pecci. The defense is rounded out by the skills of Michael Carsillo, Cade Byrne, Jonathan Cole, Aidan FitzSimons, Peter Farley, Gavin Freeman, Angelo Benfante, John Gabriel and Michael Costa.
The Eagles scored 3 touchdowns. Nicholas Riggio had a 55 yard touchdown run to make the score 6-0. The score became 12-0 with a Lucas Jacobsen QB sneak for 4 yards. Nicholas Riggio had a 4 yard rush followed by an extra point by Matthew Aldiero to make it 19-0. The touchdowns would not have been scored without the assistance of Michael Garcia, Michael Carsillo, Connor Seawright, Matthew Dolloway, Matthew Monroe, Jack Gautieri, Anthony Zamloot, Angelo Benfante, Joseph Trapani, Matthew Aldiero, Maguire Pecci and Steven Creech.

The C JV Maroon team rolled over the Caldwell Jr. Chiefs on Saturday in 30-0 victory. The 5-0 Eagles scored 5 touchdowns. Nicholas Riggio scored 2 rushing touchdowns one for 70 yds, the other for 60. Lucas Jacobsen had a quarterback sneak for a 7 yd TD run. Gavin Freeman ran for a 40 yd TD and Peter Farley scored on a 6 yd rush. The touchdowns were scored with the full support of the Eagles offense of Michael Garcia, Michael Carsillo, Connor Seawright, Matthew Dolloway, Matthew Monroe, Jack Gautieri, Anthony Zamloot, Angelo Benfante, Joseph Trapani, Matthew Aldiero, Maguire Pecci and Steven Creech. The shut out occurred at the hands of the Eagles defense, highlighted by turnover recoveries, stipped ball by Maguire Pecci and interception by Gavin Freeman, and strong tackles by Michael Carsillo.
