The Verona Eagle C-Team played a great game against a tough Cedar Grove

team by playing good defense and solid offense.  Zach Zaccone scored four touchdowns and passed well to Mike Stanisci and  Greg  Marlo to put the game away.  Wade and Kevin Kistner along with Mike Mughetto  and Matt Zaccone played well on offense and defense and the entire offensive line led by Austin Camp and Travis Jocelyn blocked very well.  The first team defense only let up two first downs the entire game.

In a very tough game the Verona Eagles C Team improved to 4-0 after beating East Hanover 22-14.  The offensive line of Sean Crawrford, Kyle Brennan, Dane Kish , Dave Gautieri and Chris Leuchs continued to open up holes for Mark Riggio , and Nick DePaul.  Ryan Cariani scored on two long runs and Matt Zebrowski hit Peter Marlo and Mike Carlucci with passes to put the Eagles ahead.  The defense was led by Mike Mughetto, John DeMartinis, and Zack Zaccone and Jake Farrell.

The Eagles will face undefeated West Essex on Sunday at Centennial Field.

The Verona Eagle C-Team beat Florham Park on Sunday improving their record to 3-0.  Mark Riggio scored on a long run and a Punt Return and Nick DePaul plowed over from 10 yards out to give Verona a lead that they would never surrender.  Chris Luehs, Kyle Brennan, Dane Kish, David Gautieri and Mike Carlucci opened up huge holes for Ryan Cariani and Ryan Ramsthaler to run through while  Matt Zebrowski passed to Peter Marlo for an extra point. 

 Sean Crawford, Mike Mughetto, Johnny DeMartinis, Jake Farrell and Austin Masters led a defense that held Florham Park to one first down until late in the game.  Matt and Zach Zaccone, AJ Pengue, Mike Morano, and Nick DeVivo played great on special teams to keep Florham Park in check all afternoon.  The Eagles visit East Hanover for a night game on September 29^th.
